Employee’s Breach of Confidentiality Costs Walgreens $1.4 Million

The Indiana Court of Appeals upheld a $1.4 million verdict awarded by a Marion County, Indiana jury to Abigail Hinchy, who sued Walgreen’s and Audra Withers-Peterson, a pharmacist for breaching the duty of confidentiality when she provided Hinchy’s ex-boyfriend with Hinchy’s prescription records.
